2010 – Year of the Tiger
So this is very random, but I decided to write about it. As I was on the subway Friday evening, coming home after work, I heard a few people talk about what this year has in store for those who are the year of the Tiger. I never really doubled glanced or thought twice about the Chinese horoscope. However, my birthday is approaching very quickly and I for one was born in the year of the Tiger. Starting from February 14, 2010 the New Year of the Tiger starts and representing the third year in the twelve-year cycle of the Chinese zodiac.
Since I don’t know much about the Chinese zodiac signs, I decided to do a little research in what are the traits the year of the Tiger. It symbolizes many things, but the main thing is that it is a balance force like the “yin yang” due to its stripes. Which make this sign one of the most dynamic out of all the zodiac signs. Since a Tiger acts like the king of the jungle it shows true forces of nature. People who are born in the year of the tiger are generally fearless, adventurous, unpredictable, and loving. Many other signs of people who are the “Tiger” show characteristics of sudden direction of course and have the want to pack up to explore/travel to exotic places. Tiger has the ability to desire an adventure often, since they get bored very easily. However, the Tiger is also friendly, unselfish, and can be short tempered at times, but is also naturally more likely to be a leader.
As I read about the year of the Tiger, it indicates traits that I am very much aware of. For I love backpacking as you all know and can tell from this blog. I guess The year of the Tiger represents strongly, us backpackers who were born in the years of 1974, 1986…….
