Most popular ski resorts in the States
Within the last two weeks, Ontario and parts of Quebec have had some major snowstorms. Not only has a few cities been hit hard with snow, but also many of the ski mountains in the surrounding areas. Yup, now it’s time for our skies or snowboards to hit the slopes. I am not only excited to finally start skiing again, but to also try a few new hills this year too. I have done lots of skiing in pervious years in Canada, so this year one of my many missions is to experience a ski resort in the U.S.Below is a list of the most popular U.S ski resorts.
Aspen, Colorado
Aspen is known for one of the best winter resorts across the world. It not only offers skiing and snowboarding fun, but also hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and skating. But not to forget, Aspen is also known to have the best nightlife too. With only a few major streets to wander around, Aspen has over 40 restaurants, and an endless amount of night clubs/lounges to check out.
Winter Park, Colorado
Very close to the city of Denver, Winter Park is the perfect place for those who are on a budget but who want to experience the perfect skiing resort. There is a range of different mountains that vary from beginners, to advance. Even though there are only three large mountains, the variety of the terrain and the heavy snowfall makes up for a great weekend getaway of skiing.
Jackson Hole, Wyoming
One the most steepest terrains in North America is Jackson Hole, so if you are looking for a challenge this is the place to seek it. There are many mountains around this resort area, but what is interesting about this park is that the lift system will take you literally anywhere you please to go. However, there is own risk rule due to no avalanche control. So that is just one thing you need to look out for.
Breckenridge, Colorado
The powered snow at Breckenridge makes it one of the best beginner ski hills in the U.S. The quality of the hills, and safety of the ski lifts makes everything perfect for someone who is starting off. It’s the perfect hill to hit the fluffy snow for soft landings.
