IT’S ALL BOOKED! … part two.
After booking the train and the hostel to Machu Picchu, we decided our next stop would be taking the journey to Puno and exploring Lake Titicaca. The journey from Cuzco to Puno is only 8 hours by bus, so leaving early morning would be ideal. We planned to stay in Puno for two nights and see the top three main attractions in the region.
The Floating Reed Islands of Uros, Isla Taquile, and Sillustani Burial Towers.
There are over 41 islands that are all man-made and each of them has their own fascinating history behind them. We plan to take a boat tour, like what many other tourists do to experience the Peruvian and Bolivian Cultures. A great place to see the wonderful Peruvian culture is Isla Taquile. The next big sight will be the Sillustani Burial Towers . Over hundreds of years ago the ancient people from Altiplano built series of funeral towers. These towers were built to bury their kings and many other important people. It will be very interesting to see how these towers were constructed and how these people lived.
After two days of exploring Lake Titicaca, we plan to head back to Cuzco to catch our flight to Puerto Maldonado. Our plan is to emerge our selves in the jungle for two full days, and see lots of wildlife. We haven’t booked any tours yet, since the search for the best ones is still on. So if anyone knows of some great jungle tours, please let me know! Since I haven’t finished all my research for the best jungle tours in Puerto Maldonado. It would be great if anyone who has advice for any jungle tours to pass it along to me! Thanks!

Nara,
I used Rainforest expeditions for my Amazon trip. Really liked them!
