Going Home

Today is officially my last day in Tanzania and Africa all together. I'm so sad! It's funny how I look work all year to treat myself to an amazing trip, to plan and prepare for it, look forward to it, and with a blink of an eye, it's all over. But I began another year with another awesome experience. Two thumbs up for me! I love this song "Going Home" from Mark Knopfler. [youtube=http://www.youtube.com/watc ...

I added two additional workouts, the first is running on Mount Royal (233m), a mountain that is located on the island of Montreal. The problem is that I'm not a fan of jogging, due to my short span before getting bored with it.  And most importantly, I'm not good at it ...

Shakira in Montreal!

When I first arrived in Mexico for a second semester abroad, I barely spoke any Spanish. I knew the basics, "Hola", "Como estas", and so on but I clearly wasn't ready to entertain a conversation with others. I have to admit that my first month was pretty rough because of the language barrier I was facing. One way I tried to learn Spanish, other than in class was through music. I would listen to songs and re ...

A Trip To New Orleans

For the past few months I have been doing a few weekend trips, but lately I have also been thinking about seeing New Orleans. Mind you, when I do take a few days off I usually go somewhere out of North America, but this time I thought about seeing a little of the south. I have never seen the real south, so I believe New Orleans is the perfect city to start with. There are a few things within the city that m ...
