Taking a vacation with your girlfriend is a great way to spend quality time together, but how do you decide where to go? You usually can’t go wrong booking a beach vacation, but if you really want to impress her, take her to a city that suits her personality.

Consider the following three destinations that appeal to specific personality traits: romantic, fun or adventurous.

Romantic

New Orleans, with its European influences, is the ideal destination for a romantic getaway. Kick back and relax on a paddlewheel boat, spend the night at a cozy bed-and-breakfast in the popular French Quarter, stroll down St. Charles Avenue and admire the Old World architecture.

Grab a beignet and cup of hot chicory coffee at Café Du Monde, but allow more time for dinner. New Orleans, often called “The Most Romantic City in America,” is home to some of the country’s most impressive restaurants. Many celebrity chefs have restaurants in New Orleans, including Emeril Lagasse and Paul Prudhomme. Make sure you book reservations at the more popular restaurants well in advance.

Fun

If you’re looking for a fun vacation with a thriving nightlife, head to Memphis, Tenn. Known as the birthplace of rock ‘n’ roll, you can find a band playing at a bar on Beale Street any night of the week. Take a tour of Elvis Presley’s Graceland estate, check out the Memphis Rock ‘n’ Soul Museum and stop by Sun Studio, where Elvis recorded his first song. If your girlfriend is an Elvis fan, plan your trip to coincide with Elvis Week, an annual event typically held in August that draws Elvis fans and impersonators from around the world. (If you go, know that the impersonators prefer the term “tribute artists” to “impersonators.”)

You also can enjoy riverboat cruises on the Mississippi River, the second largest in the United States. For a very quirky experience, stop by the Peabody Hotel for historic The Peabody Ducks Parade. Every morning, five ducks march into the lobby fountain to the tune of John Philip Sousa’s King Cotton March. The ritual repeats with a similar exit during the evening.

Adventurous

Thrill-seeking couples should head to Estes Park, Colo., which is on the eastern edge of Rocky Mountain National Park. In the summer and fall, try rock climbing at Lumpy Ridge or the challenging Longs Peak and whitewater rafting along the rivers near Estes Park. In winter and spring, go sledding, snowshoeing or skiing in the back country.

The parks service no longer operates the Hidden Valley Ski Area, which means there’s no chair-lift up the mountains. You also ski at your own risk here, and hazards include falling rocks, quick changes in weather and exhaustion from trudging through the snow. Because many insurance policies won’t cover accidents that result from adventure sports, look into getting additional insurance. HCC Medical is an agency that offers insurance that covers sports injuries, as well as emergency evacuation.

Find great deals

A weeklong vacation can put quite a dent in your savings account, so keep an eye out for travel deals or bundled packages that could save you a lot of money. Websites like Kayak, Deal Chicken and Travelzoo help you find special offers. And when you provide your email address, Travelzoo will email you the top deals every week. So start looking for the opportunity to take your girlfriend on a vacation that perfectly suits her personality.

Travelling overseas is undoubtedly an exciting venture if you keep everything safe. While talking the travelling safety, one of the most important considerations that come across relates to the backpacks. Here are six important tips to consider for your backpack safety while travelling aboard.

1. Get locks for the Backpack’s Zippers

This is the simplest step to consider while talking about the safety of your backpack. Even the smallest of the locks can save you from pick pocketing as you can never see whatever is happening behind you. We usually limit our safety measures to wallets while thinking of pick pockets but back packs are a much easier target. You might be simply sitting somewhere with your back pack besides you and it would even take a moment to reach in for pulling out something valuable. Especially when you are travelling with a great camera, tablet or other valuables, spending a few bucks on a mere lock can actually aid you in saving a fortune.

2. Keep the valuables wisely

Where you keep all the valuables such as your passport, ID, Money, Plane tickets etc. become important while travelling aboard. Never keep all such items in the outer pocket of your backpack as they can be easily stolen from there. Therefore, the best place for them is the inner and the bigger pockets. Not only are these pockets less accessible but are also deep and so can easily hold all your important stuff.

3. Prefer a lightened load

Ideally, the total weight of your filled backpack should never succeed more than fifteen percent of your total body weight. The foremost way to lighten the total load is to remove any kind of the non-essentials. Remember, even an extra novel and a different hairbrush can add weight. Simply get down to basic needs and pack accordingly.

4. Pick the right size of the bag

Yes the bag size is also crucial. For instance, adult backpacks are made strictly for adults and not for children. You must always buy a backpack so as to fit your body size. Many catalogs and stores list all this information along with the other product description. If it is not given, simply confirm it from the seller. Remember, while the shoulder straps of the bag are adjusted, its bottom should lie at least two inches above your waistline. If you plan to carry a lot of valuables or electronics, pick a bad which is internally wide than the one that is equipped with more external pockets.

5. Position the bag properly

You must always wear your backpack in a proper manner in order to avoid imbalance and muscle strain. You should wear the shoulder straps in a way that both of them are easily snug. If your backpack is equipped with a waist strap, use it in order to distribute the entire weight evenly. Also, try to maintain a good and straight posture while carrying the backpack. It is always tough or rather impossible for picketers to steal from a bag which has been firmly positioned and tightly handled by its owner. Even if they will try a grab, you will easily come to know.

6. Set the time limit

Wearing your backpack for continuous and longer lengths can be both mentally as well as physically strenuous. Therefore, always try to wear it for a maximum of thirty minutes or even lesser. This rule can be easily followed unless you are jaunting across a rambling campus or are on an all day hike. If it still seems tough, prefer carrying a much lighter load. As far as you have kept your valuables carefully in the inner pockets and secured the outer pockets with locks, your backpack is safe.

Author Bio:

Bill Clark runs his own travelling channel on a local level. He is also an active member of the international forum for the travelers and provides special offers for car hire in Tenerife.

If you want to see the world and make a difference with your life, there are many traveling volunteer opportunities for you. These programs let you travel all over the world and use your life to help other people. Here are just three of the most well-known ones.

UNICEF

UNICEF is a volunteer-based organization that works to better children’s lives across the world. Initially it stood for “United Nations International Children’s Emergency Fund.” The name has been shortened to “United Nations Children’s Fund,” though they keep the same acronym.

The organization works to provide emergency relief during crises. They ensure that in those emergencies children have food, water, shelter, and proper medical care. They also work in long-term improvement of lives, with many programs that focus on education, prevention and treatment for HIV/AIDS, protecting children from abuse and violence, and nutritional interventions.

To participate in Unicef charity worldwide volunteer programs, contact your country’s Fund for UNICEF and express your interest in volunteering.

WWOOF

WWOOF stands for “Worldwide Opportunities on Organic Farms.” It’s a program that works with organic farmers to help them provide organic products. You have a chance to travel throughout the world and work with organic farmers in exchange for room and board.

Volunteers stay with host families, helping them around the farm for a set number of hours each day. In return, they are fed and sheltered and get to learn a great deal about how to live an organically sound life. The length of each stay can vary, so you can stay in the same place for years or choose to move on after a week.

Peace Corps

The work a Peace Corps volunteer does will vary greatly based on the need of the host country. Nearly all involve some sort of volunteer work with education, community development, health, agriculture, and technology, along with many other categories of volunteer opportunities.

If you choose to join the Peace Corps, know that the minimum requirement of time to serve is 27 months, so be very sure it is something you want to do. However, those who choose this path find it incredibly rewarding. There are even additional benefits to joining, such as medical coverage and possible student loan assistance.

Now that you have an idea of some of the available programs, you can start making some decisions. If any of these sound like something you’d be interested in pursuing, contact them today about applying to the program.

The year 2012 is about to say goodbye to us with reminiscences of many sweet and sour experiences. It’s time to cheer, enjoy partying, lefty celebrations. Evolution of prior resolutions and pledging new one. In the companies before Christmas vacations formal meetings are held to check the prefixed targets and assign the new one. Budget is the main agenda at the arrival of a new year, a close assessment between the planned and experienced expenditures and goals.

Here are some suggestions to make budget for social media 2013.

Make the most of social recommendations

The public in other words your target audience get influenced by the recommendation from the ear one instead of getting impressed from the advertisement by social media. Ask your loyal buyers to go for recommending their product instead of spending more money and getting less response. Count each penny before you are going to spend. The marketer or another person must check that whether the investment is worthwhile. Utilize social sites for advertising or promoting your product instead of off social spaces on the internet.

Don’t rely Facebook only

Facebook is not only a reliable source for doing business. In reality very few percentage of public explore Facebook for commercial purposes. There sole motive is interaction with friends and other modes of entertainment. According to a study, seventy percent of the public rely on the blog of retail websites and sixty eight percent find YouTube much informative. the company must create an own blog network and after that share it on network sites like YouTube, Facebook, Twitter to reach the target audience.

Explore your reach to grasp the target audience

According to a research the least percentage of consumers take decisions on the behalf of the information displayed on the screen rather the information on iPads, iPods, blackberries influence them more. So expand and alter your method and region. Use multi advanced applications to meet the competitive edge. Implementation of mobile approach is a must to locate to your target customers even when they are not exploring internet on the computer but on apple4 or other similar hi tech gadgets.

Remarkable content

Remarkable content on your website or other social websites is like a doorway to enter your site where your job of persuading the customer starts. Don’t become straight forward. Your target consumer must feel your interaction and concern while reading the information instead of a blank proposal to sale your product or service with the help of social media.

Visual representation

Visual representation can work like magnets polls to attract the audience. Beautiful and meaningful pictures, videos are very resourceful. Straight ads don’t strike on the customer up to the extent as a quality video about the various uses of the product and an emphasis to show that how your product can be a solution to the several problems of the target audience.

These are the various budgetary solutions and ideas, tips to curb the distance between fixed and ontained targets which is one of the main functions of the budget planing.

My name is Mike and I have a website regrading the impact of technology on different apsects of our life. Read about the maryland square coupons and linea pelle coupon in information technology

Backpacking is an extremely popular pastime for many people today. However, before you leave for your exciting adventure, you will want to make sure that you are properly prepared. There are certain items that you must pack for your trip, and they are listed below.

First Aid Kit

One of the first things that you will want to pack for your excursion is a travel-size first aid kit. This is essential in case you or someone else gets sick or injured during your hike. Some of the items that you should include in your kit are bandages, alcohol wipes, antibiotic cream, Benadryl, and ace wraps.

Food

The kind of food you pack will need to be light as you will be carrying it on your back. Thus, it is best to pack dehydrated foods. These foods are very light and convenient for backpacking trips. Dehydrated food comes in many different varieties, and you simply need to add water to them to prepare a meal.

Water

Water can be quite heavy; thus, you may not want to carry a lot of water in your backpack. However, if you know that you will have access to a lake or stream while hiking, the only things you will need to pack are some water purifying tablets or a compact water purifier. If you absolutely need to take water with you, you will want to ration it so that you do not need to carry as much.

Clothing

Packing the right clothing is essential to having an enjoyable and safe trip. If you will be hiking in the mountains, you will want to be sure to include a good pair of hiking boots, a warm jacket and gloves. If you will be hiking through the woods, be sure to pack long-sleeved shirts and pants. This will help protect you from ticks and other insects.

Miscellaneous Necessities

There are a few other things you will want to be sure to pack for your backpacking adventure as well. These items include bug repellent, a satellite phone, maps of the area, a pocket knife and a GPS. All of these items will be valuable to you while exploring the wilderness.

What Not to Pack

If you will be taking an airplane to your hiking destination, there are some things that you should not pack. Some items are simply not allowed on planes, and they include self-defense items, guns, lighters, and knives or scissors that are more than four inches long. These items may be allowed under the plane if they are wrapped properly. However, you should always check first to make sure.

Backpacking can be extremely fun and exciting. However, you should always make sure that you are properly prepared for your trip. In this way, you will be sure that your trip will go smoothly from the time that you leave to the time you return home.

When I first started blogging, I really had no idea where to begin. It was strange because I knew I really wanted to share my experiences with fellow travellers, but I didn’t know where to start. I wanted to make it fun, not too editorial, and more of an exciting read, rather than something you would read in a magazine.

So today I went over some of my older posts and decided that many of them aren’t fun or interesting compared to what I write about today. Maybe because over the last year I have encountered so many fellow bloggers who have shared their thoughts and knowledge about how to write/ keep up a good and interesting blog. Their wisdom has not only taught me to write more exciting blogs, but also to reach to our freelancers and encourage them to write a variety of travel topics.

Sitting down every few days to write an article about traveling is not only a routine, but also something that I truly enjoy. Mind you, I was never a perfect writer, but writing about something you are passionate about makes it much more easier. It really just flows into something you could never imagine and than suddenly appears in front of thousands of others. It’s kind of exhilarating to know that many other individuals who share the same similar passion see your thoughts through an interesting read. Now as the three-year mark approaches, I have officially become a real blogger. As many of my close friends laugh at the thought of me going home to blog, they all seem to realize that so many others share the same excitement. Because really blogging is all about writing an outburst of thoughts and interests that you personally enjoy telling others about.

It’s easy too. Most people don’t realize how easy it is to start a blog. There are only a few quick steps and this is how I got started. 1. Getting familiar with Wordpress. 2. Learning how to connect with fellow travel bloggers. 3. Writing a few articles a week. 4. Requesting bloggers to mention my blog or share my link. 5. Set up an online Payroll account for my freelance writers. 6. Encourage my writers to write a variety of travel topics (in particular : where they are travelling to) . 7. Research daily travelling news 8. Talk about my blog on Facebook and Twitter 9. Talk about my blog while traveling/leaving my business card at hostels or even tourist sights. 10. Read other travel blogs. It’s very easy and I encourage any writer or person who is passionate about travel, to take a moment and just write.

Fishing has actively evolved especially in the coastal regions. Today, fishing has two basic purposes for the mankind namely a business venture and as a recreational activity. Most people wish to make money out of fishing and for them fishing is their bread and butter. While there are others who go fishing every weekend or holidays and choose a destination for it specially. This is the recreational side of the activity. Both are growing equally and today fishing as a sport has become a business for many. People are making profits from others recreation. A look into this activity would give a better insight on whatever has been said till now.

A history of fishing as a sport gives out that this sport attained its popularity in the 16th and 17th centuries. A study ascertains that a book was released during the same period, which sold in volumes that talked of fish folklore and songs and poems about fishing. This increased the level of interest in fishing among the people.

There is no evidence of where and how did recreational fishing originate from, but people believe it must have been started by the English around the year 1066. The Compleat Angler was the book that made fishing as a sport popular and it was this book’s arrival that got this sport into action. But there is no evidence of where and how did fishing as a sport exactly starts.

There is another form of fishing as a sport which is called Big-game fishing, which came into being when the motor boats were invented. It was pioneered by Dr. Charles Frederick Holder, who happened to be a Marine Biologist. He also published many articles and books that talked of this activity that’s called fishing as a sport.

Fishing as a sport is very much area dependent sport. The way an Englishman would fish would totally differ from the way Americans would fish. Again, it also depends on the kind of personality fishing and the kind of species that are being fished. For example, in Britain fly fishing is a very famous style of fishing that has been adopted by the high flying people of Britain. This art would definitely differ from the way Miami people fish for Tuna and Americans fish for Shark. There is also this art of Big game fishing, which is completely different from both these styles. Normally, people used to kill the fish they used to carry but due to the changed rules of government that no longer happens.

Even the personality of the person indulging in fishing would decide the kind of fishing that is at hand. Also, the species are different in different areas. Like salt water would contain fishes like Marlin, Tuna, Sailfish, Mackerj, Shark and Tarpon while the freshwaters would contain snook, Salmon, Trout, Pike, Catfish, Redfish, Walleye and Muskellunge. Perch and Sunfish are varieties of pan fish and they are called so as they fit an entire pan.

Some of the major techniques included in fishing as a sport are hand gathering, netting, angling, trapping and spearfishing. The basic elements used by fishers would be a rod and a line with a hook at the end. The rod could be with a reel so that the line of the rod is reeled in or some other kind of bait is used so that the fish can be enticed towards the hook and people can catch it.

A special form of this kind of rod fishing is the fly fishing in, which the rod has a reel attached to its back and there are heavy and complex lines along it. There is a continuous whipping kind of motion which allows the fish to the hook.

The other common kind of sport fishing technique would be the bowfishing that uses the bow. There is also an arrow involved in this form of fishing which is made out of the bolt which has barbs at its end. This is then attached to the fishing line to allure the fish to the hook. Fishing as a recreational activity is used to spend more time with friends and family. So, do try this sport when you get a chance.

Often times, people tell me to try to save more money before leaving on my next backpacking trip. Or if I’m unlucky, I’ll hear the opposite: “Save your money to buy a house and settle down”. Which I mean, it is what most people look forward to in their twenties. But there are two types of people in life. Those who watch their life pass by and others who live their life. And I want to be that person who lives her life. Why wait? Money is rarely the issue when you want to accomplish something. You find ways to make money to do what you want to do. And houses will always be there. So what’s the problem?

There will always be excuses to forgo a trip. Bills, cars, home, over-consumption during the year and so on. It’s all about prioritizing and having the best saving account. Once you master that, you’re good to go! It’s important to know how to manage your current account and not spend your money on electronics or material items. Wouldn’t you rather spend it on a plane ticket? You make choices every day! And unfortunately, most of us cannot afford to have everything so we have to pick!

You’re healthy today but you may not be tomorrow. The next best thing I hear is: “I plan to travel when I retire”. This is by far the worst excuse in my books. What normally happens at retirement is that you have more free time but unfortunately, most people are not healthy enough to travel the world and see all those places they’ve been wanting to see since they were young. Will you be healthy enough to travel when you retire? Who knows? Anything can happen in the next 40 years! So why wait?

There is one thing to keep in mind: Travel smartly! Setup the best saving account so you can save enough money to travel but stay within your budget if you don’t plan to work abroad while traveling. The last thing you want is to be in debt because of traveling. That will stop you from delaying any future plans you have, such has buying a car, a home, etc. I’m all for living your life to the max but you need to do it smartly. Be patient. Save your money. And go!

All in all, if you’re healthy, have some vacation weeks and a bit of money, just do it! Live today because you never know what can happen tomorrow!

Backpacking is really just a way to travel without spending too much and using it wisely. You don’t necessary have to be extremely cheap, but just watch what you spend and where you spend it. I don’t know about you, but I rather spend my money towards activities and fun doings rather then food. So here are a quick few travel tips I learned in how to save money while backpacking.

Accommodation

Never stay in a hotel, unless you really have to. It’s really just against the whole backpacking method. Why backpack and stay in expenses hotels, when you can save so much more money on other things and meet other backpackers? Hostels aren’t only cheap; they are safe, and fun. Another way to save money in staying at a hostel and staying in a dorm, not a single room. Single rooms are generally more costly.

Avoid luxurious tours

Many new backpackers start off with an expensive tour. Now they can be a great idea if you choose the correct tour such as Gap Adventures. But traveling to exotic countries with so many resources to travel independently, it really is just a waste of money. Yes, you might feel more comfortable, safe, and with no worries, but really you don’t meet as many backpackers who share the same love for traveling as you do.

Bargain

Every country is different with cultures and traditions and there are many approaches in how to achieve the correct price on an item. First figure out and understand how the pricing works in the country. Next always think of the best price in your head and never assume that there is a flat rate. Play with the price a little, make a judgment, and feel confident about the price your are offering.

Activities

From going to a museum to sky-diving. Find out the cheapest route to purchasing the tickets. Use your student card, passport, or even try to pass as a local. Every method in trying to save a dime is always what backpackers are looking for.

Airfares

Airfares aren’t always cheap and there is always a large gap in prices. Make sure you do your research, look online, go to a travel agent, book ahead, and even try booking in the middle of the night. I find most of the time the prices go down 20-30% due to it being in the middle of the night.

Now these are only a few quick tips in how to save money. Once you start backpacking often you realize there are small ways in how to save a penny here and there. Trust me you will get the hang of finding routes to save money.

Money

Traveling with cash is easy and easy to lose. Think about your options, like consider using an international bank. There are a few banks that you can use without paying lots withdrawal fees. Also, consider your safety. Using international banking is the safest and easiest way to keep track of your funds.
