Now every bar usually just ends up to be a bar, nothing special. Just a place for us to grab a drink and chill. Well well, you may be surprised but sometimes bars are design as an art form. Well take a look and find out what ones you need to grab your next drink at.

Basil’s Bar in Mustique

This bar will seem very laid back and causal, but really its nothing like that. It sits on stilts over looking sparkling blue sea of the Carribbeans. It’s like living in the perfect moment with your beverage and nothing in the world to care for. This place also attracts many celebrities, so if you are in the neighbourhood you might see a few celebrites relaxing too.

Gold Bar in New York

This upbeat bar located in the district of SOHO in New York City is well known to be the hot spot for every celebrity in town. Yet, also know to only have beautiful, thin, rich people. This place is made up of hundreds of gold plated skulls adoring the walls, and yes real gold. Which is one reason why most rich people only grab a drink here.

Lutatia Bar in Paris

For over 100′s of years many artists and writers have had a drink at this bar. This bar is located on the left bank hanging out of Parisienne. Today it is still know for famous journalist and artists to take a sip. This bar is decorated in a rich belle epoque interior which draws in many artists.

Volupte in London

This bar is designed like the 30′s Hollywood style with a crowd filled of fire eaters, basque-clad women and snake charmers. So I think you see the picture now, plus this bar is known to be described as the supper club.

Do Celebrities Backpack?

You may be surprised in how many celebrities actual backpack like the rest of us. Yes they travel due to their work and their vacations are usually made up of expensive, luxurious resorts, but sometime they change it up a bit and try hostels. Lately Sienna Miller was interviewed and her next adventure will be made up of hostels! Miller one of the top photographed stars is planning to attempt a typical backpacking adventure. She mentions that the proper backpacking style should involve hostels. Well I say she has that right, but can celebrities really take the next step into our backpacking world?
Miller says, “ You get to a point where you’re living to work, not working to live.” I believe every person feels this way once in his or her lifetime. Everyone has a passion for something, and Miller says her real passion besides acting is traveling. Now, we usually don’t hear a lot of celebrities backpacking, but a few do without telling anyone. Yet, most of us have heard that Ewan McGregor took a few turns in traveling to a few places across the globe. From motorcycling around Africa to backpacking Asia, and traveling to the northern parts of Canada. He is one of the lucky celebrities to discover how exciting backpacking is.

Stumbling into a Celebrity

I must mention, Tanya going to Brazil is making me a little jealous!!! I want to travel to the jungle too, but reality seemed to hit me hard this year. Any who, I decided to share a few more backpacking stories with you. Check this out ->

When I was getting ready to leave for Europe in 2004, many people told me two things. First you will find that one guy who you will “fall head over heels” for and second you will meet many celebrities. Ya, so I always laughed at that, why? I just never believed in things until they really do happen. Well the truth is, it did!!!….. well kind of. As for the celebrity occasion, this is my story and maybe in a later post I will mention discovering a romantic affair. So this is how I stumbled into a celebrity.

Usually I am pretty good recognizing people by face, but this wasn’t my strongest moment. It was Feb 2005 only a few days after arriving in Dublin, Ireland. I was looking for a sports club around the neighborhood I was living in, to play women’s soccer for fun. There were many soccer fields around the neighborhood, so I thought I would just ask someone around the area to see if they knew of any women soccer teams. So I randomly went up to this handsome guy who carried a lovely smile that grasped my attention. Not really cluing in that the two men beside him were clearly bodyguards. I was too fixed on this guy’s charming looks. I asked him a quick question in regards to a women’s football league. I must be honest, I was not really listening to what he said, since all that was going through my mind was “ I have seen this guy before!” He replied, chuckling in a different accent, “ no, not really from the area.” He just smiled at me and a little after a split second his bodyguards started laughing. I didn’t really think anything of it, until a lady walked pass me, smiling and mention under her breath, “ you do know that is Jude Law.” I didn’t have time to answer back, since she walked pass me very quickly, but wow I just laughed at myself, thinking… so I guess I can check that off my travel list; didn’t recognize Jude Law!!! So there it was, my friends from home were right, I did meet a celebrity!!!
