The Two Escobars

If you’re looking for an interesting documentary, rent The Two Escobars. Even if you’re not a fan of documentaries, I’m sure this one will find a way to grow on you! The Two Escobars refer to Pablo Escobar, one of the most popular drug cartel leaders and Andres Escobar, the National team’s captain in 1994. The documentary shows how these two unrelated people who shared the same last name come together. Pablo found that money laundering would be easy if it was injected in Colombia’s National Soccer team. This increased the performance and popularity of the team. Where Andres’ soccer mistake then cost his life.

Although I knew who Pablo Escobar was, I never who the story behind Andres Escobar. It’s worth watching if you’re interested in know about the Escobars and the social situation in Colombia in the early 90′s. I’m sure you’ll be learning something new.
